All the rubbish we discard has a value, and the highest prices are paid for good quality, cleaned, sorted materials that are easy to recycle. Source separation by us, the public, is essential for any scheme to work well and the community can benefit by earning income from our rubbish. That said, the Highlands has a very good reputation for high quality recycling.
