Warranty

1 or 2 years depending on which parts. There is a 20 year agreement for the Trust to pay parts and Gilkes to provide labour. Gilkes are being paid 14.5 % of actual income in return for £75,000 reduction in bill (due to increase in turbine size from 50kW to 89 kW). This also covers the 20-year maintenance deal.

Planning Issues

No major planning or SEPA issues. SEPA approval given prior to current SEPA policy of 'presumed rejection' of all hydro schemes under 100 kW.
